Jobs News Ireland – Microsemi, Avvio & Async Technologies
There seems to be nothing but bad jobs news, financial news or budget news at the minute so I always like to post something positive. The Mid West region has had its fair share of negative jobs news so I am delighted to tell you that there have been 200 new jobs announced.
Microsemi will increase its workforce by 185 over the next 2 years. The firm produces equipment for the US space exploration programme. Although there has been no official announcement there are positive signals of intent coming from the firm. This news makes more of an impact in the fact that only last May Microsemi reversed a decision to phase out its operations in Ennis which employed 108 people at that time. Also in Clare Async Technologies announced that it would be creating 11 highly-skilled jobs. Finally in Limerick Avvio is set to create 30 new jobs over the next two years.
