Bausch & Lomb has confirmed it is seeking 120 redundancies at its Waterford plant.
The plant currently employs 1,200 people manufacturing contact lenses and other eye health products.
The announcement came after management met staff and union representatives last night and this morning.

Bausch & Lomb a leading employer in Waterford is seeking 195 voluntary redundancies. According to reports the 1,400 employees were informed by management this afternoon in a series of meetings. B & L is a manufacturing of contact lenses based in the South East region of Ireland. This news falls shortly after some other negative jobs announcements in the region.
