The Conrad Hotel is to cut 32 jobs as part of a restructuring programme.
Staff at the five star hotel on Earlsfort Terrace were called to an emergency meeting this morning where they were informed of the plan.
It is believed the redundancies are being sought on a voluntary basis.
In a statement today, the hotel said that the hospitality business, like many other industries, has been impacted by the current global economic climate.
‘Unfortunately the hotel has not been immune to these challenges and has had to evaluate staffing levels in relation to business needs.
‘As a result, we regretfully will have to make a number of roles redundant at this time,’ the statement added.
It added that it will offer each of the individuals affected its full support while they look for alternative employment.
