Positive and Negative Jobs News this week in Ireland

Lets Start with the positive

Telcorp provides a range of services from mobile handsets to fixed line solutions to IT services. And FACEBOOK will create 40 new jobs in Dublin. There was indication of this announcement but the news is great all the same.

Telco firm SMART TELECOM could let up to 30 or 40 staff go from its 90 strong workforce. And finally INTEL announced that it is seeking 300 job cuts at its plant in Leixlip, County Kildare. It seemed like Ireland had missed out on global restructuring with 6,000 jobs cut across plants globally. This news is worrying for workers at the plant even though the company has stressed that the plant has a strong role to play in future
