Jobs News – Commuting & Working from home
I read today that commuters to Dublin from satelite towns spend one week per year simply getting to work. That means residents of Meath, Louth, Kildare and Wicklow spend one week per year on trains, buses but judging from traffic certainly cars. Those surveyed indicated that commute times have increased significantly. I wonder will the free flow toll help on the M50. Judging from my experience on Tuesday the M50 seemed as conjested as usual. Another observation was that bus and rail services need to be improved. I think this one is a cope out. We always want to complain. Certainly my experience of trains has been ok and I know there are now private bus operators offering great services to Dublin.
Anyway if you are sick of commuting you might be interested to hear that another article found that workers are much more happy and productive working from home. As a home worker I must say that I love it BUT it is not for everyone.
